This is the new "Guitar Mic Pro B", from Bartlett Microphones. I added the gooseneck myself for more placement options, but the big news is THIS version is battery powered (640 hour battery life!!!!)... makes it compatible with wireless systems AND "circuit breaking" mute switch guitar cables. All together with the added benefit of increased fidelity from avoiding phantom power. My dear friend and self proclaimed audio snob Chris Kindler described the sound as "High Definition Audio delivered to the audience" after a recent concert in Pacifica. Paired with the Fishman Solo Amp, this setup gives, powerful natural and rich feedback resistant sound. Your guitar..... louder, the way only an amazing condenser microphone can deliver. After using these mics all summer I can say comfortably that I don't want to do a show without them. A huge thanks to Bruce Bartlett for listening to guitars and guitarists and creating such amazing products. A small company solving a HUGE issue that I have been struggling with for over 15 years.

I bought some of these line 6 wireless systems and they both cut off the sustain of the note...sounded like a cheap compressor, and dropped signal after 1 or 2 seconds of the intial note.
Have you had any of these? issues?

like the Solo Amp better. If you want a combo mic/pickup system..... there are two great? choices..... LRBaggs Dual Source or DTAR MultiSource Nylon.

Lovely playing. I am just in the process of adding a mic to my nylon string guitar and I just wondered if you'd recommend me leaving my current fishman piezo pick up in and blend the sound? of the two? I have the dreaded quacking noise from the pickup amplified and its not a natural sound at all. Also, would you recommend the fishman solo over the boes compact array amplifier? Thanks.

@jahra27 You can plug it into to just about anything you would? plug a guitar into because its got an active signal. Use the instrument input on the channel strip.

Hello. Great sound. I've ordered this mic, but I can't afford this kind of amplifier that you use, which is great, by the way. Do you have any suggestions, where to plug the Bartlett mic? Preamp, channel strip, eq, amplifier or whatever? I have a Jose Ramirez? guitar and I play in a full acoustic band (flute, guitar, percussion, bass). Thanks
